The basics
What is an IPTV player?
An IPTV player is an app that plays television delivered over the internet rather than through an aerial, satellite dish or cable. It does not produce the channels: it connects to a service you already subscribe to, reads the channel list and programme guide that service publishes, and plays the streams.
A player is to IPTV roughly what a web browser is to websites. The browser does not write the pages, and the player does not broadcast the channels.
Does Momnt provide IPTV subscriptions or channels?
No. Momnt IPTV supplies no channels, no streams, no playlists and no subscriptions, and none are bundled with the app. We do not sell, resell, host or index any content.
The app is empty until you connect a service you have obtained legally and pay for yourself. Nothing in the app suggests where to find one, because that is not what we do.
Do I need my own IPTV provider?
Yes. You need an active subscription with an IPTV service, and either an Xtream Codes login (server address, username and password), an M3U playlist URL, or a provider code from a service that works with Momnt.
Without one of those the app has nothing to play. If you are not sure which you have, check the email your provider sent when you signed up — it almost always contains one of the three.
Is Momnt IPTV free?
Yes. The app is a free download on the App Store and there is no subscription to Momnt itself. It is supported by advertising, and on first launch iOS asks whether apps may track you across other companies' apps and websites — declining is a supported answer that does not limit any feature.
You still pay your own IPTV provider separately. That relationship is entirely between you and them.
Setting up
Does Momnt IPTV support Xtream Codes?
Yes. Xtream Codes is a first-class login method: enter the server address, your username and your password, and Momnt loads the live channels, movies, series and the portal’s built-in programme guide.
M3U playlists are supported too, with an optional XMLTV URL for the guide. You can add several playlists and switch between them; each keeps its own catalogue, favourites and history.
Does Momnt IPTV include an EPG?
Momnt reads the electronic programme guide your service publishes — either an XMLTV feed or the guide built into an Xtream Codes portal — and draws it as a scrollable grid of channels against time, with a detail view for each programme.
We do not supply guide data ourselves. If your provider publishes no EPG, or publishes an incomplete one, the app can only show what is there.
How does a Momnt provider code work?
A provider code is a short lookup key — uppercase letters and digits only — that an IPTV service gives its customers. Typing it into Momnt fetches that service’s configuration: display name, colours, artwork, login wording and its list of server addresses.
The code is not a password and grants no access to anything. You still enter your own username and password afterwards. Codes are stored by us only as a salted SHA-256 hash, so the raw code never sits in a database.
Devices and availability
Can I use Momnt IPTV on iPhone?
Yes. Momnt IPTV runs on iPhone with iOS 26.0 or later, and the interface is built for one-handed use: a reachable tab bar, large tap targets, and Picture in Picture so a stream keeps playing while you do something else.
Can I use Momnt IPTV on iPad?
Yes. The same app runs on iPad with iPadOS 26.0 or later and adapts to the larger display: more of the programme guide at once, wider content rails and full-screen playback.
Is Momnt IPTV available on Android?
Not yet. Momnt IPTV is an iPhone and iPad app today, and an Android version is in development. We would rather ship one good Android app late than a rushed port early.
There is no release date to announce, and we will not pretend otherwise.
Can I download films or episodes to watch offline?
Yes, for on-demand content your provider serves as a downloadable file. Transfers continue in the background, default to Wi-Fi only, and stay inside a storage limit you set. Live channels cannot be downloaded — there is no file to fetch.
Privacy and data
Does Momnt store my IPTV credentials?
Not on any server of ours — we do not operate one that could hold them. Your IPTV username and password are stored in the iOS Keychain on your device and sent only to the server address you configured, when the app requests your channels or a stream.
Streams are not proxied through Momnt. Traffic goes from your device to your provider directly.
Do I need an account to use Momnt IPTV?
No. There is no Momnt sign-up, no email address to hand over and no password to choose. Download the app, add your service, and you are watching.
The only credentials in the app are the ones your IPTV provider already gave you.
Does Momnt know what I watch?
No. Analytics events are anonymous and categorical: how much was watched, of what kind, and how well it played. Channel names, film and episode titles, programme names, categories, provider identity, server addresses, stream URLs and search text are never sent.
There is no user identifier attached to analytics, so no report can be traced back to a person even in principle.
